A case of the tired flat, needing an upgrade
Tile Boutique in WA is proud to showcase a recent renovation they did for a client located in Como, Western Australia.
The central aim was to update the tired unit from drab to fab, transforming a client's newly-acquired aesthetically-dated flat into a modern and luxurious space optimised to live-in, entertain and enjoy.
The existing flat was at best described as 'worn out'; the kitchen and dining rooms were dark and closed-in, separated by a wall, while the adjoining bathroom and laundry were small and uninviting. The aim was to open these spaces up and make them both useable and contemporary, particularly the dining room and kitchen by creating an adjoining open space. The upstairs bathroom and toilet were also tired and dark, very-much in need of a visual lift.
The entry hall and living area were also in store for an update, in order to create continuity and aesthetic harmony amongst the spaces which consequently flowed o and into one another.
When it came time to begin renovating, Tile Boutique sent out a consultant to assist the client in making all the necessary choices and developing a plan to achieve the renovation. The client selected all the fixtures, tiles and features for her home, ensuring that a distinct aesthetic look and feel was achieved which reflected the client's preference and taste.
When complete, the renovation transformed the interior of this small unit into a modern space; gone is the old segregated dining room and kitchen, replaced with an open-planned area where a newly-installed breakfast bar which flows into the dining space. Additionally, custom gloss-white cabinetry has been crafted for the kitchen and laundry, creating a contemporary look and feel to both spaces. To complete the bespoke feel, a custom bulkhead has been installed in the kitchen / dining area, creating a distinctively opulent feel.
The living area and entry floors have been transformed, thanks to the addition of gorgeous wood-look floor tiles in both, completing the look. The tile selected are the gorgeous Assi D’Alpe Badia, measuring 200 X 905 mm. The addition of wood-look tiles for the living and entry space means the warmth of wooden flooring, while maintaining the practicality of tiles.
Tile Boutique is proud to showcase the wonderful work we do and are proud to offer a broad range of experience, expertise and products allowing our clients such as this person in Como to transform their living spaces from ordinary to extraordinary, and in the process, adding a distinct individual flavour of their own.
